TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST ALOO CHUTNEY CHAT
To make the perfect Delhi-style Aloo Chutney Chat every time, I suggest following these simple steps!
Do not over boil the potatoes as they might get mushy when you chop them into cubes.
Deep fry the potato cubes and get the skin crispy so that they don't get soggy when you add the chutneys.
You can adjust the spice level of the chutney.
INGREDIENTS FOR ALOO CHUTNEY CHAT
POTATOES- This entire recipe revolves around potatoes, here I have take 5-6 medium-sized potatoes and boiled them prior to frying them.
GREEN CHUTNEY- This green chutney is my go-to recipe and is so refreshing and has that spicy-tangy flavor and is the second main ingredient of the dish.
OTHER GARNISHES- Here I have used sev, chopped onions, and a little bit of lemon juice. you can also use tamarind chutney for a little sweetness
Step by step recipe
PREPARATION TIME: 5minutes.
INGREDIENTS
5-6 medium-sized boiled potatoes.
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp of lemon juice
1 tbsp of salt
2 tbsp of daliya/ roasted gram
3 green chilli
1 cup of coriander.
COOKING TIME: 10 minutes.
STEP1: Chop the 5-6 boiled potatoes into small cubes and deep fry them until golden brown.
STEP2: In a mixer, add 1 cup of coriander, 3 green chillis, 2 tbsp of lemon juice, 1 tbsp of salt, 2 cloves of garlic, and 2 tbsp of daliya/ roasted gram and blend it into a fine paste. add water according to the thickness you want for the chutney.
STEP3: Add the fried potatoes to a bowl and add 2-3 tbsp of green chutney and mix it well. (tamarind chutney is optional )
STEP4: Garnish it with sev, chopped onions, and a little bit of lime juice.
