This pizza sauce recipe works well for 5 medium-sized pizzas. If you are making more pizzas, the sauce recipe can easily be doubled.
INGREDIENTS FOR THE HOMEMADE PIZZA SAUCE
TOMATOES- for the best results you should use red and ripe tomatoes. You can either use crushed or pureed tomatoes. Roma tomatoes are a typical variety used for pizza sauce and work well. Indian tomatoes also work well for this recipe.
FRESH GARLIC- Freshly minced garlic ties the tomatoes together beautifully if you don't have garlic substitute it with 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder.
FRESH BASIL- Freshly chopped basil adds fragrance to the sauce. it is one of the key herbs if you don't have fresh basil add 1 to 2 tablespoons of dried basil.
SEASONINGS- for the seasonings I used sugar, salt, oregano, and red chili flakes.
HOW TO STORE THE HOMEMADE PIZZA SAUCE AND MORE WAYS TO USE
In addition to pizza, the sauce also works well with pasta. Just toss some cooked pasta, along with some steamed or sautéed veggies, in the sauce, then top with some cheese.
If you do not use all of the sauce right away, simply store it in a bowl or a jar in the refrigerator and use it within the next 10 to 15 days.

PREPARATION TIME: 5minutes
INGREDIENTS
4 medium-size blanched tomatoes
5-6 minced garlic cloves
1 medium-sized finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
2 tablespoon freshly chopped basil
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon red chili flakes
2 tablespoon of butter
COOKING TIME: 10 minutes.
STEP 1: In a pan take 2 tablespoons of butter, add 1 medium-sized onion finely chopped and saute for 3 minutes.
STEP2: Grind the balached tomatoes, chunky or pureed depends on your liking. Add 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of oregano, and 1 tablespoon of red chiliblanched flakes and mix it well. Add 2 tablespoon of chopped basil leaves.
STEP3: Once every ingredient is mixed let it cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat.
STEP4: Use this sauce for your pizzas and pasta or store it in a jar or containers.
