Homemade Thandai in 10 minutes| theflavours101

Dry Fruits Thandai Drink is a traditional Indian beverage popular in North Indian states of UP and Rajasthan and made especially for the festival of Holi. It is quite refreshing to drink and is loaded with some rich ingredients like dry fruits, seeds, and saffron. You can use this thandai mix in various Indian sweets and can also spice up some other desserts like thandai cheesecake, thandai custard, and many more,

and takes only 10 minutes to be ready!



PREPARATION TIME: 5mins


INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup of almonds

  • 1/4 cup of pistachios

  • 1/4 cup of cashews

  • 2 tbsp of poppy seeds

  • 12 peppercorns

  • 10 cardamom pods (elaichi)

  • 1 and 1/2 of fennel seeds (saunf)

  • 2 tbsp of watermelon seeds

  • 1 tbsp of nutmeg powder

  • 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder

  • 1 pinch of saffron

  • 4 tbsp of dried rose petals.








COOKING TIME: 10 mins.

STEP1: Take a pan to add 1/2 cup of almonds, 1/4 cup of pistachios, 1/4 cup of cashews, 2 tbsp of poppy seeds, 12 peppercorns, 10 cardamom pods, 1 and 1/2 tbsp of fennel seeds, 2 tbsp of watermelon seeds, 1 pinch of saffron, and 4 tbsp of dried rose petals heat them for 5 minutes or until toasty.

STEP2: Once toasted add 1 tbsp of nutmeg and 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder add to the mixer and blend it into a coarse powder.

STEP3: Add two tbsp of the powder and two tbsp of powdered sugar and 2 cups of milk and mix it well. Add few ice cubes and dried rose petals for garnish and it is ready to serve!
