Hara Bhara Kabab is a vegetarian take on kababs which is made with a lot of fresh vegetables and leafy vegetables, which complements its name 'Hara Bhara Kabab'.This is one of the most ordered dishes when families go out for dining. It is a good snacking option for all ages as it has healthy and especially kids who hate vegetables. It can be served with sauce and green chutney or can be replaced in place of aloo patty used in burgers as a healthy alternative.
PREPARATION TIME:25 mins.
INGREDIENTS.
5 medium-size potatoes.
1 bunch of blanched spinach/ palak.
1/2 cup boiled peas.
1/4 bunch of coriander.
1 tsp garam masala.
1 tsp amchur powder/dry mango powder.
1 tsp red chili powder.
1 tsp salt.
1 bowl of bread crumbs.
5-6 medium-size garlic cloves.
4 green chillis.
1-inch ginger piece.
COOKING TIME: 20 mins.
LET'S GET STARTED...!!
STEP1: Take a mixer or grinder add the blanched spinach, boiled peas, coriander, garlic, green chilies, and ginger into the container to make sure that there is no water of the spinach and peas so that the paste is coarse and can hold the shape of a patty.
STEP2: Once blended together the paste should look like this.
STEP3: Take a bowl and mash the potatoes in it. Add the paste to the mashed potatoes.
STEP4: Add the above-mentioned condiments in the mashed potatoes and the spinach paste and mix it well.
STEP5: Add bread crumbs to the mixture so that it stays in shape and does not splatter when we deep fry it, make sure you mix it well.
STEP6: Shape the dough in the desired shape and let it rest for 5 mins.
STEP7: Add the patty in the oil make sure that the oil is hot enough so it does not absorb a lot of oil.
STEP8: Serve them hot with green chutney..!!
